One Crew for the Whole Yard in Rancho Cordova

Rancho Cordova is two towns wearing one name. The core along Highway 50 is established sixties-to-eighties suburbia where original concrete is due for its second act. The southeast, Anatolia, Sunridge and the neighborhoods still building around them, is one of the region's fastest-growing areas, full of newer homes with yards waiting to be finished.

RMR works both: complete backyard builds in the growth neighborhoods, and driveway and patio replacement in the core. Family-owned, licensed CSLB #1088628.

Anatolia and Sunridge: Finish the Yard the Builder Did Not

Nearly nine in ten homes on the southeast side were built after 2000, and the newest arrive every month. Builder backyards there follow a familiar script: graded dirt, a strip of concrete, and a fence. We write the rest, patio, turf, irrigation and planting designed as one space and built in the right order.

Because we build these yards repeatedly, the quirks of the area's grading and drainage are already priced into the plan, not discovered after the first storm.

This Ground Has a Gold-Rush Past

Large tracts of Rancho Cordova sit on dredge tailings, the cobbled rock left behind when gold dredges chewed a ten-mile field along the American River a century ago. Where the tailings run near the surface, excavation gets rocky and base prep matters twice as much.

We treat ground conditions as a fact to be checked, not assumed. Where digging turns rough, the quote and the schedule already reflect it.

The Established Core Is Replacement Territory

Lincoln Village, Cordova Meadows and White Rock hold ranch homes whose driveways and patios date to the Johnson administration. Replacement there means full tear-out, fresh compacted base, and finishes chosen for the second fifty years, plain broom, stamped, or a new pad where the RV or shop finally goes.

City permits run through Rancho Cordova's own building division, not the county, and we handle that as part of the work.

We used RMR for a pretty large project. Full back yard patio of concrete, raised stamped slab with pergola, turf with concrete steps, retaining wall on the side, front patio all in concrete, a lot of rock and a ton of plants and a tree. They did an absolutely amazing job and more importantly, everything was done correctly.

Jose and his team just completed a whole backyard for us — and did a great job. They consistently showed up when they said they would, were fairly priced, and did exactly what we asked for with great communication. A member of Jose’s team even smoothed a little patch of our newly poured concrete so our kids could make handprints.

Jose and his team are incredible! They’re easy to communicate with, and gets the job done efficiently. We hired them for our entire landscaping project and they are fairly priced. We did concrete, decorative rock, irrigation drip system, sprinklers, grass and he even planted trees & plants for us! Highly recommend.

My backyard has a bit of an incline, which I thought would be a challenge, but they handled it without any issues. Jose and his team really took their time to listen to what I wanted. Rancho Cordova FAQ

Questions From Rancho Cordova Property Owners

A few of the questions we hear most around Rancho Cordova. Don't see yours? Call us — we're happy to help.

Call (916) 533-4758

Do you build full backyards in Anatolia and Sunridge?
Constantly. New-construction yards are our signature project: one design, one contractor, and the build sequenced so drainage and irrigation go in while the ground is open. The result is a finished space instead of a patchwork.
Is a turf rebate available in Rancho Cordova?
Only parts of the city are served by the county water agency whose Cash for Grass program paused in 2026, and other neighborhoods have different providers. We check what applies to your address when we quote, and we never build a budget around rebate money that is not confirmed.
Will dredge-tailing rock make my project cost more?
It can affect excavation-heavy work like footings and drains in the areas where tailings run shallow. We evaluate the ground during the site visit, and the written quote reflects real conditions rather than an optimistic guess.
Do you pull city permits for concrete work?
Where your project needs one, yes. Rancho Cordova runs its own building division, and we handle the paperwork as part of the job.
